Do you work in Los Angeles or a nearby city and only earn $10.00 per hour? This may be a violation of Minimum Wage laws and you may be entitled to unpaid wages and other compensation.
The minimum wage in many southern California areas is now $10.50 per hour. If you are working in the cities of Los Angeles, Pasadena, Santa Monica, or other nearby cities, and only earning $10.00 per hour, you may be owed unpaid wages, penalties, and other compensation.

Beginning on July 1, 2016, employers with 26 or more employees must pay their employees a minimum wage of $10.50 per hour - an increase over the current $10.00 per hour state minimum wage. This higher $10.50 per hour minimum wage went into effect on July 1, 2016, for multiple cities and municipalities in Southern California, including
:
- City of Los Angeles
- County of Los Angeles (unincorporated areas)
- City of Santa Monica
- City of Pasadena
To benefit from this new minimum wage law, the employee simply has to perform at least two hours of work in a week within the geographic boundaries of the specific city or county. As an example, a delivery driver that works out of a terminal in Commerce, but makes multiple deliveries into the City of Los Angeles every week, is likely entitled to the $10.50 per hour minimum wage. Also, individuals are entitled to the higher minimum wage regardless of whether they are considered full-time, part-time, temporary, or any other employment designation.
Individuals that earn $10.00 per hour but work in the cities of Los Angeles, Pasadena, Santa Monica, or in an unincorporated area of the County of Los Angeles, may be owed back wages, penalties, interest, and other compensation. Please call our toll free number at
